With the update of the Blätterkatalog iOS App to version 3.0, it is now possible to connect a newsfeed and display the news directly in the app. This increases the use of your app, reduces complexity and binds your users even more closely to you and your product.
On the iPad, the start view is divided into two parts, the current issue on one side and on the other side the news in the form of dynamic tiles consisting of a picture, headline and a teaser text. You can access the news by clicking on the tile or by navigating to the news section in the lower tab bar. The same applies to the well-known issue shelf.
For the iPhone, you can choose how you want to get started: either via the News section or, as usual, via the shelf. The navigation is done via the lower tab bar.
The news section itself has its own content overview, in which news can be clustered by category / department. The individual news text convinces in the design of the new article view with many setting possibilities: The font, font size and background color can be adjusted, text can be read aloud and directly shared via SMS, WhatsApp, e-mail or social media. Within the news section, the user can navigate back and forth between the individual articles with swipe, or use the main view and the table of contents for orientation.
The news are read from an RSS feed and displayed either natively or as HTML.
With the integration of the newsfeed, you offer your users even more content, which leads to a regular and frequent use.
